FAQ
Ready to get started?
Get StartedWhere do I download these forms?
Most forms are available at https://www.sos.texas.gov/corp/forms_702.shtml (SOS forms) and https://comptroller.texas.gov/taxes/franchise/ (Comptroller forms). However, online filing via SOSDirect and WebFile is recommended over downloading and mailing paper forms.
Can I file all forms online?
Most Secretary of State forms can be filed online via SOSDirect. All Comptroller forms can be filed via WebFile. IRS forms (EIN, 2553) can be filed online at irs.gov. Paper filing is available as a backup but is slower for all agencies.
Which forms does my LLC need at minimum?
At minimum: Form 205 (formation), Form 05-169 or 05-158-A + Form 05-102 (annual franchise tax report + PIR), and federal income tax forms (Schedule C or Form 1065). If applicable: AP-201 (sales tax), Form 2553 (S-corp election).
